March has been a nice change of pace month for me—I began the month traversing across northern Minnesota and Upper Michigan to work on a story comparing iron mining in surrounding states, then found myself shooting lots of state basketball, a couple sports portraits and then environmental portraits here and there.
March was fun but I’m looking forward to April and warm weather, longer daylight and starting some new photo/video projects. I’m also looking forward to hearing the final results of the Milwaukee Press Club awards after I found out today that my photo essay on rural population loss and one of my photos from Gov. Walker’s recall election party are finalists for awards.
I’ll also be heading to the Milwaukee Brewers home opener on Monday, so check back for some of my favorites from the day.
Here’s a hodge podge collection of some of my favorite photos from March:
I always like all your photographs Lukas, specially your portraits, but the first pic of this set is really outstanding! All the pain in that second long gesture captured forever in your photograph! I always look forward to getting yr blog! Take care!
Glad you enjoy the photos, Alex! Thanks for looking!
Thanks for posting these……….you are my favorite photographer!
