Hot Cold Ghana Light

Approaching the tail end of leading the first program and completing my first loop of two around Ghana. Made it to Cape Coast today—a pretty visually fascinating city with lots of color, narrow streets and different architecture from the rest of the places I’ve stayed in Ghana thus far. Has a lot of visual similarities to one of my favorite countries: Cuba.

Earlier this week my worst fears were realized as my 5D Mark II gave in to the hot, humid and wet conditions of Ghana. With nowhere to repair the camera it looks like I’ll be shooting solo with my back-up camera until August. Definitely a disappointment. I still made a few shots that I’m happy with though from the last few days.

I tried to take advantage of the moody gray skies the last couple days and the bright colors around Cape Coast. It’s always fun to mix hot and cold light sources.
