Today I did that which I despise: I took photos of a color run.
Ugh. I know.
The event is ubiquitous. The photos equally so. There’s nothing in this blog post that hasn’t been done or seen a million times.
For those of you who don’t know, the Color Run is a where people pay $45 to change their Facebook profile picture and upload selfies to Instagram. Oh, they run/walk a 5K too. And no, this isn’t for a charity.
Why did I shoot it? Creative boredom, mainly. With my colleague and friend, Pinar, we both decided to shoot it because our classes aren’t very heavy on producing pictures this semester. As my reporting professor frequently says, I was just keeping my claws sharp.
As you look through these photos, I think it’s important to keep in mind that the race started at 8 a.m. on a Sunday. These people were in full-on rage mode, which I found pretty impressive.
